This year for Mother's Day I really wanted to make something as beautiful and unique as I know my mom to be. So I set out to learn how to pipe soap. But not just any old piping. I wanted to figure out how to use my cake decorating skills for piping roses, leaves and various other little cake decorating elements. With a little bit of experimentation with my current recipe, I found that it sets up to the perfect buttercream consistency in 45 minutes to an hour. I also found out (as mad scientist do) that if I get busy doing something else and can't get back to my batter in a timely manner, all I have to do is add a bit of oil (olive, almond, grapeseed, etc.) and use my hand mixer to loosen up the batter and whip it back into workable shape.
I really enjoyed the process of figuring this out and I'm overjoyed with the results.
I hope you enjoy Making Lavender Sage just as much as I enjoyed designing and creating a soap that is a beautifully delicate reminder of my mom and how I see her.
Lavender Sage is part of the collection of Limited Edition soap I will be releasing throughout the year. If you are interested in getting your hands on one of these beauties, you can find them in our shop!
Thanks for reading and watching!
